Good rider etiquette provides the best experience for you, your driver, and fellow passengers.

  • Passengers must remain seated at all times.
  • All passengers are required to wear a seatbelt.
  • No Eating or Drinking on the vehicles.
  • No smoking in the vehicles.
  • No one under the age of five (5) may ride alone.
  • No intoxicated passenger will be transported.
  • No Un-caged pets are allowed in the vehicle (except service animals who have photo certification)
  • No Profanity Allowed
  • Feet must be kept on the floor at all times.
  • It may be necessary to make several stops before your destination to accommodate other passengers.
  • Audio equipment can only be played when using earphones and keeping the volume at a level that can only be heard by the person using the earphones.
  • Proper hygiene is required. Objectionable odors that are unavoidable to other passengers will not be permitted.
  • SJCTA will not tolerate any type of violence, threats, intimidation, and destruction of property or insubordination.
  • The SJCTA demands that passengers conduct themselves in an acceptable and respectful manner at all times. Any type of lewd or indecent behavior is unacceptable. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal.
  • No weapons, illegal drugs, hazardous materials or other dangerously-deemed items are permitted on the bus.
